What You’ll Do

  • Design, construct and implement highly scalable systems, across multiple platform types.
  • Implement and support highly scalable systems to support eCommerce or Digital Customer Experience
  • Hands-on engineering responsibilities (build, installation, configuration, upgrades, testing, deployment, and performance tuning & optimization). Document the procedures/instructions for other team members to follow.
  • Assist in troubleshooting production support issues and be available as needed.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, eCommerce Engineering and Support, Project Managers, and other Business/IT teams in finding solutions to meet business needs.
  • Creating automated unit tests, contract tests, integration tests, load tests using Junit, rest-assured, Postman, JMeter where required.
  • Identify opportunities and develop scripts to automate the tasks where possible to minimize manual work and to produce high-quality and consistent work.
  • Diagnose, isolate and debug problems and performs problem resolution.
  • Assess technical risks, provide options, recommendations, and strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Providing guidance and assistance to peers and other team members in related job functions
  • Adhere to standard processes and procedures.

What You Know

  • 6+ years of software development lifecycle experience preferred.
  • Hands-on development experience with Java, Python or Go, and related technologies, frameworks.
  • Experience with tools & technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, StackDriver, Distributed tracing, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, NewRelic, PagerDuty, WireShark is a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience working with distributed systems and with 24x7 Production Services/environments.
  • 3+ years of Cloud Architecture and Operations including migration, resilience, maintainability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Knowledge of the Google Cloud Platform is a strong plus.
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Concourse, Sonar, Artifactory, Chef, Puppet, Spinnaker
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills including software, systems, and network.
  • Experience with application Profiling Skills (Core Java, Thread Dumps, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Senior Management and key business partners.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with a wide variety of teams within & outside the domain.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Applications, or related field.
